Elizabeth was from Wallingford. She and her husband were members of Christian Lane[Kensington Congregational] Church in 1712. Elizabeth and Stephen had 10 children, one of which was born on 18 APR 1693 and died the same day. She was the daughter of Isaac Royce and Elizabeth Lathrop. Elizabeth's epitaph "here lies the body of Mrs. Elizabeth Lee [the relict of Capt. Stephen Lee deceased] who served in the office of midwife 40 years, until she was 90 years old". Elizabeth and husband, Stephen, were both constituent members of the church at "Great Swamp"; both to church in old Farmington on 05 OCT 1707. |
