Youngest son of Abel and Sarah [Wilcox] North. John joined Berlin Congregational Church in 1815. Married at Kensington Congregational Church; he and wife, Harriet, were from Berlin. John was a farmer. Belonged to State Militia; became 1st Lieutenant of the 4th Regiment of Calvary in the CT State Militia in 1830.
