Joined Berlin Congregational Church at age 14 years; became Deacon in 1875. Sang in church choir and was superintendent of the church school. During 1860 and 1880 was a mechanic. His wife, Emily, was from Wallingford. He lived at 15 Main Street, East Berlin circa 1840. In 1850 he had a moderate estate of $1,300. He died at age 73 years.
