4th son of Col. Simeon and Lucy [Savage] North. Died when struck by lightening while standing in his own doorway. Married 1st Amna Newell of Southington; mar. 2nd Mrs. Sarah Durand. Selah worked for his brother, Reuben, in gun factory in Berlin while young and later removed to Stow, OH. Said to resemble brother, President Simeon North of Hamilton College.
