Rafaela died at age 88 at home. She was of Farmington and formerly of Berlin. She lived in the Greater Hartford area most of her life and was a retiree of Topps Coats in New Britain. She was formerly a member of St. Paul Church in Kensington.
She was survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Angela Cugno of New Britain, Josephine Assennato of Farmington and Sebastiana Annino and her husband, Corrado, of Kensington; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Vincenzo C. Arangio; a daughter, Corradina Costa; two sons-in-law, Corrado Cugno, and Rosario Assennato, and six brothers.
Funeral services and calling hours were at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel in Wethersfield. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Augustine's Church in Hartford. Memorial contributions to Hospice of Central Connecticut.
