Richard married 1st Olive Porter; married 2nd Betsey Porter; married 3rd Laura Savage. Richard was a Tinsmith and japanner who supplied the Hubbard peddlars with their products. Daniel, Benjamin and Richard were all brothers; some of their letters are in a binder in the Local History Room at Berlin Peck Memorial Library, Kensington, CT. Richard built 239 Berlin St, East Berlin in 1802. He was a Berlin Selectman in 1833. The title "Col." appears with his name in Hale Cemetery Records. Richard died at age 53 years.
