Nancy was living in Branford in 2000. She worked for several years at the Branford Town Clerks Office. She was formerly of New Britain and Kensington. She died at age 68 of cancer. She was survived by her four children: Vernon H. Brierley, III of Branford; Bret N. Brierley of Marlborough; Nancy J. [Brierley] Bradford of Killingworth; and William C. Brierley of Guilford and by 14 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also survived by her step-mother, Audrey [Metz] Neece; a step-brother, David B. Metz of Chappaqua, NY; and two step-sisters, Audrey-Alice [Metz] Smart Calabasas, CA; and Ellan [Metz] Anspach of East Falmouth, MA. A Memorial Service was held at the First Congregational Church of Branford. Memorial contributions to Branford Land Trust.
