Ernest moved to Kensington in 1963. He was a graduate of Pratt Institute, New York earning a degree in engineering. He was the works manager for the Bruce Manufacturing & Molding Co., Inc., Southington. He was past chairman of the Society of Die Cast Engineers; a contributing editor for the ASM; and a member of the American Society of Tool and Manufacturing Engineers. Ernest was a member of St. Paul Church, Kensington; the Knights of Columbus; and the New Britain Lodge of Elks. He died at age 78 at his home on Stockings Brook Road, Kensington. He was predeceased by his wife, Anna. He was survived by his seven children, Ernest, W. Jr. of Porter , Indiana; James M. of Chula Vista, CA; Charles and Paul, both of Kensington; Victoria [Brix] Mooney of Solano Beach, CA; Laura [Brix] Foran of New Britain; and Diana of Kensington; and seven grandchildren, Krista, Karl, Amy, Nicholas, and Corey Brix, and Annina and Joseph Foran. Funeral Services and Calling Hours were at Kenney-Luddy Funeral Home, New Britain. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul Church, Kensington. Donations to A.R.C. of Southington; Southington V.A. & Hospice, Southington; or C.C.A.R.C., New Britain.
