Marie died at age 74 at her home in Stuart, FL where she had lived the last 15 years of her life. She had moved there from East Berlin. She had worked at the Lingrace Dress Factory, Middletown and later at Rocky Hill Veteran's Home until her retirement. Marie was a member of St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Hobe Sound and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in East Berlin. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church Women's Auxiliary and the National Food and Drug Auxiliary. She was survived by her husband, John of Stuart, FL; her son, Gerald and his wife, Sharon of Cobleskill, NY; two daughters, Kathryn Lippman and her husband, Alvin, of West Hartford and Laureen Sihombing of Vero Beach, FL; three brothers, Al Alessi of Largo, FL, Salvatore Alessi of Rocky Hill and Joseph Alessi of Glen Cove, NY; three sisters, Jennie Abbey of East Hampton, Gloria Lombardo of Middletown, Eleanor Bush of Rockville; and six grandchildren.
Calling hours were held at D'Angelo Funeral Home, Middletown. Mass of Christian Burial celebratd at Sacred Heart Church, East Berlin. Memorial donations to The American Heart Association, Stuart, FL. Arrangements were under the direction Young & PrillFuneral Home, Stuart, FL.
