Salvatore died at age 73. He was living in Daytona Beach, FL. He had formerly resided in Southington, CT and had been a member of St. Dominic Church there. He was a WWII veteran. He taught in the Berlin school system for 30 years and coached boy's tennis and soccer at Berlin High School and basketball at McGee Middle School. Salvatore was predeceased by his wife, Marion. He was survived by his children, Thomas Caruso of Southington, Richard Caruso of Sandy Hook, Robert Caruso of Brookfield, and Aileen Van Dalsum of Nashua, NH; two sisters, Gloria Poppel of Berlin and Dorothy Brzozowski of Plainville; 10 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services and calling hours were at Bailey Funeral Home, Plainville; Mass at Sacred Heart Church, East Berlin. Donations to American Heart Association.
