Steven G. Chatlas, Sr. died at age 83 years. He had lived in Kensington for over 40 years. He attended the University of Georgia. He was a retiree of Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, Southington. He was a member of Elks Lodge #957, New Britain; the Masonic Temple of Newington and St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, New Britain. He was survived by his wife, Mary of 59 years; his two sons and daughters- in-law, Steven and Joanne Chatlas, Jr. and Anthony and Kathy Chatlas; and grandson, Joey Chatlas all of Kensington. Funeral services were held at St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, New Britain. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Calling hours were held at Haffey-Lyons & Kiniry Funeral Home, New Britain. A Parastas Service was celebrated at the funeral home. Memorial donations to St. Mary's Ukranian Orthodox Church, New Britain or to charity of donors choice.
