Gertrude died at home at home at age 89. She was the widow of Alfred Joseph Alberti. She was a graduate of Hartford Hospital School of Nursing in 1938. She was the head nurse at Hartford Hospital and also a nurse at Jerome Home in New Briatain. Gertrude was a member of St. Paul Church and active in the Berlin Seniors. She was survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Richard and Gloria Alberti of Farmington and William and Carol Alberti of Southington; two daughters and sons-in-law, Gail and John Sisti of Wallkill, NY and Linda and Craig Zendzian of Southington; a brother, Bernard Gleason of California; two sisters, Ruth Morgan of Chicopee, MA and Mary Griffin of Holyoke, MA; nine grandchildren; three great-granchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services and calling hours were at Porter's Funeral Home. Funeral liturgy was at St. Paul Church. Memorial donations to Berlin Senior Center or Jerome Home.
