Carissa died at age 21 years of ALS. She was living in Simsbury, CT.
She was a 1999 graduate of Berlin High School.
Carissa was survived by her parents, Mark Andrews of Manchester and Sandra [Sakowicz] Andrews of Simsbury; a sister, Sharon Andrews of Simsbury; her stepmom, Cynthia Bakos of Manchester; her maternal grandparents, William and Rose Sakowicz of New Britain; her paternal grandmother, Anne Andrews of Manchester; aunts, Linda Huck of Kensington and Betty Choquette of Hawaii; and her great aunts, great uncles, and many cousins. She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Felix Andrews and her uncle, William Sakowicz.
Funeral service was private. Calling hours were at Burritt Hill Funeral Home in New Britain.
