Graduated from New Britain High School, 1932.
Lived in Kensington the last 57 years.
Served in U.S. Army Air Force during WWII.
After the war served as quality control inspector for the United States Navy.
Belonged to the Civil Defense Patrol.
Member of the Swedish Svea Club in Kensington.
Member of VFW Post 511 in New Britain.
Member of Timberlin Golf Club.
Survived by his wife, Evelyn [Gingras] Anderson; four daughters, Lynne Anderson of Kensington, Janice Jacobs and her husband Gary of East Berlin. Joanne Norr of Farmington, and Ellen Grochowski and her husband Paul of Middletown; and one son, John Anderson Jr. of Derry, NH.
Also survived by four grandchildren; Lisa Jacobs of East Berlin, Jennifer Jacobs of Colllinsville; Christopher Jacobs of Santa Clara, CA and Theresa Grochowski of Middletown; a cousin, John Ott, and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his sister, Marie [Rhea] Anderson and son-in-law, Daniel Norr.

Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul's Church, Kensington.
Burial in West Lane Cemetery.
