Died at age 52 at home in East Berlin.
Long time resident [since 1995] of East Berlin.
Graduate of New Britain High School, 1968.
U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam Conflict,
Officer with New Britain Police Department for 20 years, retiring in 1995.
Later worked for Stop & Shop in Cromwell for five years.
Survived by wife, Marguerite 'Peggy"; his parents, Dominic and Gladys Badolato of New Britain; a daughter, Kori Lavertue and her husband, Tony of New Britain; a son, Ronald Nelson, Jr. of East Berlin; two sisters, Donna Campbell and her husband Robert of Farmington; and Joan Hanlone of Middletown; and two grandsons, Darren and Craig Royce of New Britain.
