Died at age 78 years. Resided in Berlin. He received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star while serving in the US Army 88th Division in Europe during WWII. Employed by TRW (formerly Marlin-Rockwell) until retiring in 1960. Was also a driver for Dattco Inc. Member of Sacred Heart Church in East Berlin, where he was a member of the Men's Club. Charter member of V>F.W. Post 10732, where he served as the Post's first Chaplin.
Survived by three brothers, Louis Camarata, of New Britain, C. James Camarata of Kensington, and Michael Cammarata of New Britain.; a sister, Mary Mercureo of New Britain; several nieces and grand nephews.
Funeral liturgy at Sacred Heart Church, East Berlin. Calling hours were at Porter's Funeral Home, Kensington. Donations to Huntington's Disease Society of America or to Memorial Fund of Sacred Heart Church, East Berlin.
