Variant spelling of surname - "BOTTSFORD".
Married Melissa H. Porter from Middletown at Kensington Congregational Church.
He was chosen to be Deacon of the First Church of Christ in Berlin on 29 OCT 1835 and accepted. He was added to the Standing Committee on 2 JUNE 1836. On 1 NOV 1844 a letter from Isaac Botsford was read rquesting that his name be erased from the list of church members. On 6 DEC 1844 watch was withdrawn from Deacon Isaac Botsford, Ellen Botsford, and Melissa Botsford.
He had a Saw Mill on the upper part of Stockings Brook. The mill was later used for the manufacture of buttons and other small articles. He was a member of Harmony Lodge #20.
Five of Isaac and Melissa's children died in infancy.
