Died at age 76 years at his home. He served for three years with the Eighth Connecticut Volunteers during the Civil War, taking part in the engagement at Bull Run and many other important battles of the war. He was not a member of the Grand Army of the Republic. He worked as a painter in Meriden and later in Durham where he lived for about 20 years. He resided in Berlin the last seven years and lived in the Elisha Clark House.
Survivors included his wife; two sons; three brothers; and a sister. |
