She joined the Berlin Congregational Church in April 1829, died at age 77. North records that she was known as "Aunt Ruth" and that she was the mother of a family of "bright and pleasant daughters", but their names are not given, though the names of several children who died in infancy are listed in the cemetery records as is a daughter, Maria Bulkley Wilcox. The family's name is spelled "Bulkeley" in North, "Bulkley" on catalog cards and in Hale cemetery records.
