Graduated from Yale 1794, A.B., M.A., Phi Beta Kappa. Studied at Litchfield Law School, founded by Tapping Reeve in 1798. Daniel practiced law from 1804-1841 in Berlin Office in yard. He lived at 825 Worthington Ridge, Berlin circa 1804. His career is given in History of Berlin by Catherine North. Daniel joined Berlin Congregational Church on 27 SEP 1818. BPLH Room Card Notes record "kept first Library collection, also had his Law books". He was Town Clerk and Town
Treasurer 1825-1832. He died at age 67 years.
