One John Cheney came "into the Land in the yeare 1635, he brought 4 children, Mary, Martha, John, Daniel, Sarah 5t [sic] child was borne in the last month of the same year 1635 . . . " (church record from Newbury, Mass.) It is not known the exact relationship of this branch of the Cheney family to the Cheneys of Berlin.
He died at age 64. His will proved for his "deare & afflicted wife Margaret"-- see her record.
