Attended Green Mountain Jr. College, University of Detroit, University of CT. Graduated 1938. Was R.O.T.C.. Killed in New Guinea when his entire paratrooper outfit was wiped out. Had wife Beverly Gibson from Japan and a son, Ralph, Jr. Also had 2 brothers, Marcel and Alfred -- 4 sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Gerarde of Hartford, Mrs. Rachel Palumbo of Kensington, Mrs. Vivian Berry of Maple Hill, and Mrs. Adeline Sturtevant from East Berlin.
