He became Reverend of the Berlin Congregational Church after Mr. Edson was dismissed in April 1, 1835. He was a native of Saco, ME and attended Brown University. He studied theology at Yale and was ordained on April 1, 1835. At his request, he was dismissed on November 27, 1837 and went on to become the Pastor at the Congregational Churchs in New London and Jamaica, Long Island. He had charge of Presbyterian Church, then to New York City, then to Princeton, NJ. |
