Note |
| 1 |
Mustered into service in the Spanish-American War in 1898, he was a Berlin native. At age 24 he enlisted in the National Guard. He was hospitalized (probably while in military service) from May26-June 4, 1898
He lived at 1027 Worthington Ridge, having bought the property in 1904. He was a "stove dealer" according to catalog card notes. An Agricultural Society paper says he sold "Richmond, Glenwood and Gold Coin Ranges, tin roofing. Jobbing done promptly." The stove business was probably located on what is now Farmington Ave., Berlin, opposite the old Grange Hall (now a day care facility [2001])
Grave marked by flag and marker.
