Veteran of the Civil War. He is listed in a Berlin Fair Bulletin in 1890 advertisement as "dealer in stoves, ranges, tinward, lead pipe, pumps, roofing & jobbing done promptly." He lived at 801 Worthington Ridge, Berlin. The stove business was probably located on what is now Farmington Ave., Berlin, opposite the old Grange Hall (this area, 500 ft. west of Worthington Ridge was known as Damon Hill.) He was probably in business with Herbert Damon (brothers?) His middle initial in cemtery records and in North is "R", "F" in catalog card note.
