His name is spelled "Dean" and "Deane" in church records. His wife's name is not given.
He joined the Kensington Congregational Church in 1831 and was excommunicated in 1860. The church records concerning this event read, in part: "Visited Henry Dean [now living in Westfiedl], an erring member . . . To endeavor to reclaim him from his wanderings. Was not successful . . . [he] expressed a wish to have his relations to the church terminated [dated Dec. 11, 1860]"
On June 14, 1852, John Gladden's account book records that he "settled all accounts." He had three children baptized in the Kensington Church 1841-1848.
