Gustavus was a farmer during the 1860 Census. He lived in and owned an early colonial brick house built by the Rev. Samuel Clark. In OCT 1850 he was a Librarian of the Kensington Library Society. Married 1st Rachel Woodruff; married 2nd Emily, sister of Rachel; married 3rd Mary Morse, widow of Samuel Farnsworth. Gustavus died at age 96 years.
