Married in the Kensington Congregational Church, she was 'taken into Communion' in the church on May 21, 1779. Her children were baptized in the church although she and her husband are listed in some records as a resident of Wallingford during the period they attended the church.
In 1781 they are recorded as residents of New Lebanon, NY. According to her descendants, she was the daughter of The Rev. Jonathan Edwards. His wife (the only marriage recorded as far as the Deming genealogy can determine) was to Sarah Pierpont and there is no record that they had a daughter named Hepsibeth.
