First mill (1730 - 1743) located at the upper end of Chisel Shop Pond. He bought half of lot #66 on Ten Rod Road in Blue Hills Division, and Capt. John Stanley owned the other half. Moore then bought lot #69 from John Steel, Jr. which included land where Winchell's Mills was located. Two parts of the claim were separated by an island of ledge with a great Sycamore tree on it. The linseed old mill was originally on the north side of the dam.
