Served in Revolutionary War as Lieutenant. Charter member Harmony Lodge of Masons, #20 in 1791. Originally from Wethersfield. See also: Early Conn. Marriages, p. 6. Married 1st Ruth Cole in Kensington Congregational Church: she from Farmington and he from "Weathersfield". He married 2nd Abigail. He married 3rd Mary Clark in Kensington Congregational Church; both were from Berlin. Sat in Box #7, Kensington Congregational Church. Samuel died at age 80.
