Surname is spelled "Hosford" in Berlin Congregational Church Record and in cemetery record. Spelled "Horsford" in some records. He joined Kensington Congregational Church on 17 OCT 1762. He was taken into Communion on 19 DEC 1762; owned Covenant since 1756. Amos mar. 1st Chloe, probably the mother of his child, Mary. He married 2nd. Esther. He married 3rd Jerusha White, widow of Rev. Samuel Clark at Kensington Congregational Church; Amos was from Worthington and Jerusha from Kensington. He was elected Moderator on 01 DEC 1786.

Amos and wife Jerusha joined Berlin Congregational Church between 1786 and 1795. He gave fine Communion Service to the Worthington Society. Amos died at age 85 years.
