His surname is spelled "Dickerson" in some souces. Seth built and owned a tannery on Mill River, Kensington about 50 rods below Fulling Mill on the west bank. He also had a shoemaker shop there. Horse power was used to grind bark. Later the building was removed and converted into dwellings. He was married at Kensington Congregational Church; both Seth and his wife, Patty, were from Berlin.
