  • Need help filing your taxes?  Every Tuesday throughout the tax season, AARP Tax-Aide volunteers will be assisting patrons with their tax returns at the library.  Please contact the library (860-818-7125) for more information or to set up an appointment.   
  • "American Snapshots: Chronicle of Time"  Join Peter Bosco, M.F.A., for a presentation of historical photographs from America's past.  The program will be held in the Berlin-Peck Memorial Library's meeting room on Wednesday, February 17th at 7pm.

  • JobNow, powered by Brainfuseprovides live interactive online help combined with online resources to guide you s through the necessary tasks to get a job. This is an online chat resource that will help you review your resumes and cover letters and practice interviewing online.

  • Free flu information resource is located at www.ebscohost.com/flu and will be continually updated. Evidence-based clinical information from DynaMedâ„¢ and Nursing Reference Center™, EBSCO’s cliniccal and nursing point-of-care databases, along with patient education information in 17 languages from Patient Education Reference Centerâ„¢. will provide the information.   • Downloadable Audiobooks is a service of iCONN, the State Library's re-search engine, and is made possible by a PEGPETIA grant from the Department of Public Utilities. The service includes over 1300 digital audio book titles from Ingram Digital Group, and is targeted to schools and public libraries, but is available to all. Just click on the link and enter your library card number.
  • NEXT GOOD BOOK is a new services from the organization that brings you Chapter - A - Day. Once you're logged in, you can search for books, browse subject categories, create a virtual bookshelf, leave comments about books, find read alikes and much more. The Friends of the Library are sponsoring this new on-line services.
  • ASK A LIBRARIAN  Do you have a question? Do you have a book recommendation?  Email us at illbpml@libraryconnection.info.This service is meant for brief factual questions (a definition, a date, etc.) or purchase requests. More involved research requires a trip to the a library or a phone call to 860-828-7125.
  • Wireless is available within the Library. The Reference Department has instructions on how to sign on and use the wireless capability on your laptop.                 
  • Visit the new children’s department wiki: http://childrensdepartmentbooklists.pbwiki.com/FrontPage. This website has booklists created by the children’s department staff, with suggested titles in such categories as fantasy, historical fiction, middle school fiction, and many more.
